Golf Injuries: Cervical Spine Problems
One of the most common golf injuries is a cervical spine injury. In our video series with MD Dr. Philipp Heuberer we will discuss the cervical spine injuries in golf, one of the most common golf injuries.
Cervical spine injuries often involve permanent complete or partial loss of sensory function, and many associated complications. As is the case with all injuries of the spinal cord, injuries located higher on the spine will be more severe.
Cervical Spine Syndrome
Tingling, numbness, and/or weakness in the arms, hands, legs, or feet can all be symtoms of cervical spine injuries. Often, this can be seen as lack of coordination and difficulty walking. Abnormal reflexes, muscle spasms as well as loss of control over bladder and bowel can also occur.
A cervical spine problem will interrupt your golf swing. You will lose power, distance, precision and consistency. Our research team looked for solutions to avoid cervical spine injuries which lead to stiffness and loss of motion.
What can you do to avoid the cervical spine injuries in golf? What can you do if you are already injured and if you don´t want to quit with golf?
Consistency Golf Swing will give you all of the necessary information on how you can reduce all of these negative contraindications that will damage your body during the golf swing.
