Golf Injuries: Herniated Disc Injury
One of the most common golf injuries is a herniated disc injury. In our video series with MD Dr. Philipp Heuberer we will discuss the herniated disc injuries in golf, one of the most common golf injuries.
Arm or leg pain is the most common signs and symptoms of a herniated disc. If your herniated disc is in your lower back, you’ll typically feel the most intense pain in your buttocks, thigh and calf as well as numbness or tingling.
Even slight amounts of pressure can cause pain, numbness, or weakness. A herniated disc in the lower spine can put pressure on the sciatic nerve. This often causes leg pain occurs without any back pain.
Back pain will interrupt your golf swing, you will loose power, distance, precision and consistency. Our research team looked for solutions to avoid herniated disc injuries which lead to stiffness and loss of motion.
